This page documents the workings and usage of MBARI's central authentication service for applications. This page is primarily for developers that will be using the authentication service to assist in user management.

The basis for this service is OAuth 2.0. The idea is that this central service allows people to login using a variety of identity providers and then the applications that we are developing at MBARI can take a token that is provided to the client by the authentication service and query for information about the user and whether or not their login is valid.
